Veteran CID Actor Dinesh Phadnis Passes Away at 57

Renowned actor Dinesh Phadnis, celebrated for his iconic portrayal of Fredericks in the beloved TV series CID, passed away today at the age of 57 in a private hospital in Mumbai. Over the past few days, he battled health issues, and despite the efforts, his condition worsened, leading to his placement on a ventilator on Monday.

Reports initially suggested a cardiac arrest, a claim refuted by his friend and co-star Dayanand Shetty. The CID team, deeply affected, stands by the grieving family during this difficult time. The final farewell to Dinesh will occur at the Daulat Nagar crematorium.

Dinesh Phadnis, a familiar face in Hindi TV, left an indelible mark with his enduring role in CID, which spanned nearly two decades. Venturing into the silver screen, he graced films like Sarfarosh and Mela, with his last appearance in Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30.
