US: Disturbing Christmas Day Attack: Teenage Girls Stabbed in New York Restaurant
In a disturbing incident on Christmas at a New York restaurant, two teenage girls from South America were stabbed by 36-year-old Steven Hutcherson, who reportedly expressed a desire for “all white people dead” and shouted offensive remarks.
The 14 and 16-year-olds suffered non-life-threatening wounds during the attack at Grand Central Terminal. Hutcherson, with a history of mental health concerns, created a chaotic scene after being refused service, grabbing a knife and assaulting the girls.
The suspect, previously arrested 17 times, had been classified as “emotionally disturbed.” The victims were treated at Bellevue Hospital and later released. Hutcherson’s past arrests include a November incident involving threats in The Bronx.
