Kerala witnessed a surge in Covid-19 cases, with 115 fresh infections reported in the past 24 hours, contributing to the state’s total active cases, which now stand at 1,749, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.** This information is based on the latest update from the Ministry’s website as of 8 am on Tuesday.

Out of the 142 new cases reported nationwide during this period, Kerala accounted for 115 cases, highlighting a significant share of the total infections. Fortunately, there were no reported deaths in the state due to the virus within the last 24 hours.

The data also reveals that 112 individuals were successfully cured, discharged, or migrated after being diagnosed with the infection during this period. This brings the total number of cases falling under this category to 68,36,979 as of now.
