Two Shots Fired During Roadside Argument in Dharwad, Accused Taken Into Custody
Dharwad EXPRESS News: A heated argument over a minor accident near RN Shetty Stadium took a dangerous turn when a man, in a fit of rage, opened fire at the passengers of the car involved. Fortunately, both bullets missed their targets, and no one sustained any bullet injuries.
According to the police, the incident occurred around midnight on Thursday. Abhishek Baddimani’s Honda Activa collided with a car carrying three passengers, identified as Prajwal, Danesh, and Ganesh. A heated argument ensued between Abhishek and the car occupants over the accident. In the midst of the quarrel, Abhishek, who was carrying a licensed pistol, fired two shots, although he did not directly aim at those arguing with him. Both bullets struck the car, and no one was injured.
Abhishek sustained minor injuries and was taken into police custody after receiving treatment at KMC-RI. Both Abhishek and one of the car occupants have filed cases against each other regarding the incident. The Dharwad Suburban Police are currently investigating the matter.
