Tragic Accidents in Belagavi Claim Five Lives

Belagavi: Two separate accidents have claimed five lives in different incidents. In Shedbal village of Kagwad taluk, Belagavi district, a tragic incident unfolded as a tractor trailer carrying sugarcane overturned, resulting in the death of three individuals.

The victims, identified as Malavva Ainapure (61), Champa Talakatti (45), and Bharathi Ghatage (45), were returning home after completing agricultural work when the accident occurred. Another woman, Shekhavva Narasayi from Shedbal village, sustained serious injuries and has been hospitalized.

In another unfortunate incident near Garalagunji in Khanapur taluk, two lives were lost when a cruiser and a bike collided head-on. The deceased, Ramalinga Mutgekar (20) and Hanumanta Patil (20), both residents of Bekwad village, were en route to the Sainik Training School in Nandihal village when the accident happened. The Khanapur police station has registered a case in connection with the incident.
