Top Cop Shashi Kumar Issues Warning to Eve Teasers, Rape and POCSO Case Accused

Hubballi: Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar issued a stern warning on Monday to individuals accused of offenses such as eve-teasing, rape, and POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses) cases. Addressing the offenders, the Commissioner urged them to reform and refrain from repeating their previous acts.

The meeting, held at the CAR Ground, brought together around 500 individuals from both Hubballi and Dharwad who are either under investigation or have cases pending trial in court. They were summoned to hear the Commissioner and his deputies deliver a strong message about adhering to the law and respecting societal norms.

Senior officers, including DCPs Mahaning Nandagavi and Raveesh C.R., as well as ACPs Shivaprakash Naik and Chikkamath, were present during the session.

Area Domination Exercise in Dharwad

Area domination operations were carried out at Dharwad Railway Station and other crowded areas.

A total of 120 individuals, including rowdy-sheeters and those causing trouble to the public, were taken into custody. Cases have been registered against them under the KP Act, legal action has been initiated, and appropriate warnings have been issued.
