Three Killed in Helicopter Crash in Rural Louisiana; FAA to Investigate
Officials reported that a helicopter crash in southwest Louisiana on Friday night claimed the lives of three individuals. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. local time when a Robinson R44 helicopter went down on a rural road in Iowa, Louisiana, according to the FAA.
Authorities have launched an investigation, with the FAA set to lead the inquiry. Meanwhile, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is securing the area until federal investigators arrive. The Louisiana State Police and local fire department are also on-site, providing assistance in the response efforts.
