Three Interstate Drug Peddlers Arrested in Old Hubballi Opium Bust
Hubballi, EXPRESS News: In a significant drug bust, the Old Hubballi police successfully apprehended three interstate drug peddlers on Thursday. The suspects were caught red-handed selling opium from a dilapidated building on Timmasagar Road.
Acting on a tip-off, a team led by the Police Inspector of Old Hubli Police Station conducted a raid on the premises. The operation resulted in the arrest of three individuals, all hailing from Rajasthan: Vikas Bishnoi, Jaisaram Choudary, and Ramrama Bishnoi.
During the raid, law enforcement officials seized 46 grams of opium with an estimated street value of Rs. 23,500. Additional items confiscated include one two-wheeler and three mobile phones. The total value of seized assets amounts to Rs. 1,29,500.
“This operation is part of our ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking in the region,” stated police officers.
