Three Friends Drown Trying to Save Each Other in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: In a tragic incident on Sunday, three college students from Mysuru drowned in a swimming pool at a private resort in Someshwara’s Ucchila, Mangaluru.

The victims have been identified as Nishita M.D. (21), Kirthana N. (21), and Parvathi S. (20). According to sources, the students had checked into the resort on Saturday morning.

On Sunday at approximately 10:30 a.m., the trio entered the pool for a swim. The tragedy unfolded when one of the students began struggling in the water. In an attempt to rescue her, the second student entered the pool but also began drowning. The third student, rushing to help her friends, met the same fate.

Further investigations are underway to determine the circumstances leading to the mishap.
