There is no deadline for completing e-KYC for LPG connections, clarifies Dharwad DC Gurudatta Hegde

Hubballi: In response to the spread of fake news suggesting that consumers would lose their gas subsidy if they failed to undergo e-KYC for their gas connections, individuals are flocking to gas agencies to complete the process.

Dharwad DC Gurudatta Hegde informed Hubli Express that there is no specific deadline for e-KYC, and people should not panic. The information about a deadline is false, and individuals can complete the process whenever they find a convenient time. Hegde emphasized that it’s baseless to believe that consumers will lose their subsidy if they don’t undergo e-KYC.

Gas agency staff also emphasized that while consumers need to complete the e-KYC, there is no urgency or fixed deadline. The confusion arose from fake news circulating that December 31 is the last date for e-KYC. They urged people not to worry and clarified that individuals can visit the agency office at their convenience.

To complete the e-KYC, consumers are advised to bring their Aadhaar Card along with the previous bill receipt when visiting the agency.
