Test the Offerings of Sacred Places in the State: Pralhad Joshi Urges State Government
New Delhi: In light of the Tirupati incident, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has urged the state government to take immediate steps to test the offerings of all sacred places in the state.
Speaking to the media in New Delhi today, he insisted on conducting a thorough investigation into the Tirupati prasadam case and ensuring that those responsible are punished.
He expressed that due to the use of animal fat and fish oil in the prasadam at Tirumala Tirupati, it is essential to test the offerings at sacred places across the state immediately.
Minister Joshi conveyed his deep concern over the fact that animal fat and fish oil were allegedly used in the prasadam at Tirumala Tirupati, a holy place for Hindus, causing alarm in the Hindu community.
He also criticized former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing him of supporting several anti-Hindu actions during his tenure, which Joshi deemed unacceptable.
Moreover, Joshi alleged that Jagan Reddy had appointed non-Hindus as members of the Tirumala Tirupati Trust.
He advised that such incidents should not recur in Andhra Pradesh and that the new government must take strict measures and remain vigilant.
Caution for Karnataka Too: Joshi emphasized that Karnataka should also learn from the Andhra Pradesh case and urged the Congress-led state government to quickly test the offerings at all sacred places.
No Non-Hindus in Religious Trusts: Additionally, Minister Pralhad Joshi has called on the government to ensure that non-Hindus are not appointed to Hindu religious trusts.
