Chapra, Bihar – In a shocking incident, a 15-year-old boy died following a botched surgery at an illegally operated private nursing home in Garakha, Chapra. The family of the deceased has accused the doctor of performing the surgery by following instructions from YouTube, sparking outrage and raising concerns about medical negligence.

The boy, identified as Krishna Kumar, also known as Golu Kumar, was admitted to Ganpati Seva Sadan Nursing Home after complaining of abdominal pain. According to his family, the doctor performed a surgery to remove a kidney stone while watching YouTube videos. The boy’s condition worsened soon after the procedure.

Despite his deteriorating health, the nursing home arranged for an ambulance to transfer him to Patna. However, Krishna died on the way before reaching the city. The family alleges gross negligence on the part of the nursing home staff and the doctor, who reportedly fled the scene after the boy’s death.

Following the incident, aggrieved family members brought the body back to the nursing home and staged a protest, demanding justice. Police from Garakha police station arrived at the scene and took the body into custody for postmortem. The deceased was later cremated in his native village.

The family has lodged a formal complaint, accusing the doctor of malpractice and calling for strict action. Krishna’s grandfather, Prahlad Prasad Sah, claimed that the doctor was repeatedly seen referring to YouTube during the operation, leading to the fatal mishap.

Trainee DSP and Garakha police station officer Isha Gupta confirmed that an FIR has been registered, and raids are underway to apprehend the accused. “Strict action will be taken, and the culprits will be arrested soon,” she assured.

The incident has raised serious concerns about the functioning of unregistered medical facilities and the safety of patients seeking treatment at such establishments.
