Sydney: Man Arrested for Terrifying Stabbing Spree
SYDNEY: A man has been arrested and charged for terrifying assaults in inner Sydney on Friday night and Saturday. On Friday, a 56-year-old man was assaulted in a venue on Phillip Street, Redfern, before the attacker fled.
Later, a taxi driver, 38, was stabbed when the assailant opened the taxi door at Walker and James streets. The taxi driver was treated at the scene and is stable.
Early Saturday, a 25-year-old food delivery driver was stabbed in Morehead Street. The motive is unknown, and the victims didn’t know the attacker. The arrested 25-year-old faces charges including wounding with intent and possession of a knife. He was refused bail and is set to appear in court tomorrow.
