The Hubballi-Dharwad police will enforce Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) on March 29th from 6 am to 12 pm in certain areas of the Kamaripet police station jurisdiction to ensure law and order during Holi celebrations.

The prohibitory orders will be effective from Kalamanna Agasi to Dakappa Circle, from Dakappa Circle to Koulpet Cross, and from Dakappa Circle to the Old KEB office on that day.

DCP (Law and Order) M Rajeev stated that the mentioned areas are deemed communally sensitive, and the orders have been issued with the aim of maintaining the city’s law and order and ensuring public safety. According to the directive, gatherings of five or more persons at a location are restricted, along with a ban on the use of loudspeakers, banners, buntings, and other activities that may disrupt peace and tranquility or disturb the city’s law and order.

Additionally, prohibitory orders will be in place in and around 55 educational institutions where SSLC exams are currently underway.
