Bengaluru: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) central election committee meeting is set to convene today in New Delhi to discuss potential candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Following the meeting, BJP leaders are expected to reveal the second list of candidates.

In the initial list, the BJP had declared candidates for 195 seats. Today’s meeting aims to finalize additional candidates, and the party is anticipated to release the second list shortly thereafter. Participating in the meeting are prominent figures such as BS Yediyurappa, BJP’s parliamentary board member, BY Vijayendra, the state BJP chief, and R Ashoka, the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly, who have all departed for Delhi.

In the forthcoming second list, the BJP leadership is likely to disclose candidates for several Lok Sabha constituencies in Karnataka. Reliable sources suggest that the BJP may announce candidates for approximately 24-25 seats in this release.
