Russian Forces Seize Control of Avdiivka Town in Ukraine

Moscow: Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced that Moscow has taken complete control of Ukraine’s Avdiivka town. The Center group, led by Lieutenant General Andrey Mordvichev, successfully captured Avdiivka, allowing Russian forces to shift the front line from Donetsk, securing their military from Ukrainian attacks.

The defense ministry reported over 1,500 Ukrainian servicemen lost in the last 24 hours. In response, Ukrainian Armed Forces commander-in-chief Oleksandr Syrsky ordered the withdrawal of troops from Avdiivka to avoid encirclement and protect soldiers’ lives. The situation underscores the intensification of the conflict and strategic gains for Russian forces.
