Rani Chennamma Express Now Extended to Sangli Station

The Ministry of Railways has approved the extension of Train Number 16589/16590, the KSR Bengaluru-Miraj-KSR Bengaluru Rani Chennamma Express, to Sangli station, according to the South Western Railway (SWR).

The SWR stated that this decision aims to enhance connectivity and cater to the increasing demand for convenient travel options in the region.

New Schedule:

• Effective March 12, 2024:
  • Train No. 16589 KSR Bengaluru-Sangli Rani Chennamma Express will depart KSR Bengaluru at 11:00 PM and arrive at Sangli at 12:50 PM the next day.
  • The train will arrive and depart Miraj Junction at 12:25 PM and 12:30 PM, respectively.
• Effective March 13, 2024:
  • Train No. 16590 Sangli-KSR Bengaluru Rani Chennamma Express will depart Sangli at 3:00 PM and reach KSR Bengaluru at 6:20 AM the next day.
  • The train will arrive and depart Miraj Junction at 3:15 PM and 3:35 PM, respectively.

This extension will provide passengers with a more convenient travel option between Bengaluru and Sangli.
