Rajat Ullagaddimath Urges Police Action Against Illegal Spa Activities in Hubballi-Dharwad
Hubballi, EXPRESS NEWS: Young Congress leader Rajat Ullagaddimath called on Police Commissioner N. Shashikumar to investigate and crack down on alleged illegal activities in spa and massage centers across Hubballi-Dharwad.
In a letter addressed to the Commissioner, the KPCC General Secretary, praised recent police efforts in combating rowdyism, drug trafficking, and gambling in the twin cities. However, he expressed grave concerns about the proliferation of unlawful operations within spa establishments.
“Many spa and massage centers have become hotbeds of illegal activities, with some even operating without proper licenses,” Ullagaddimatha stated in his letter. He criticized both municipal authorities and the police department for what he perceived as a lax approach to the issue.

The citizen’s appeal highlights a growing unease among residents about the misuse of legitimate business fronts for illicit operations. Ullagaddimatha emphasized the need to preserve Hubballi-Dharwad’s reputation, calling for “decisive action” from law enforcement.
Commissioner Shashikumar, who took office recently, has already garnered public approval for his crackdown on various criminal activities.
The letter concludes with a request for a thorough investigation into spa and massage centers throughout the metropolitan area.
