Raichur School Bus Crash Update: Four Students Amputated, Two Dead, 30 Injured
Raichur: In a tragic accident on Thursday morning, two school children lost their lives, four students underwent leg amputations, and 30 others sustained injuries when a school bus collided with a state-run bus on the outskirts of Kapagal village in Manavi taluk, Raichur district.
The accident occurred as the bus was traveling from Kapagal to Manavi. According to sources, the deceased have been identified as Samarth, 7, and Shashikanth, 12. The impact left several students critically injured, with four requiring amputations due to the severity of leg injuries.
Authorities swiftly responded to the scene, transporting the injured to RIMS Hospital in Raichur for urgent medical care. The hospital is currently treating those with both serious and minor injuries.
