Popular Comedian Sunil Pal Goes Missing; Reports
Renowned Indian comedian and voice-over artist Sunil Pal has reportedly gone missing, News 9 reported about the incident. As per initial reports of News 9, Pal’s phone has been unreachable for several hours, prompting his wife, Sarita, to file a missing person’s complaint at the Santacruz police station in Mumbai.
According to sources, Pal had traveled out of Mumbai to perform at a show and was expected to return home on Tuesday, December 3. However, his failure to return or respond to calls raised alarm. Sarita, after repeatedly trying to contact him without success, approached the authorities for help.
The Mumbai police have launched an investigation, focusing on gathering details from individuals who are close to the comedian. They are probing his recent movements, including the specifics of the event he attended, the people he interacted with, and the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
Sunil Pal is a prominent figure in Indian comedy, celebrated for his wit and humor. Although he has appeared in minor roles in Bollywood movies such as Bombay To Goa (2007), Phir Hera Pheri (2006), and Kick (2014), his claim to fame came through the reality show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge (2005), where he was crowned the winner. Following this success, Pal hosted The Great Indian Comedy Show (2006) and participated in popular programs like Comedy Champions (2008) and Comedy Circus Ke SuperStars (2010).
