PM Modi to Inaugurate Historic Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi, Marking Milestone in Interfaith Harmony
Abu Dhabi, UAE: In a landmark moment for both India and the UAE, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi tomorrow, marking the first ever Hindu temple in a Muslim country. This historic event, scheduled for February 14th, carries significant weight, comparable to the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Thousands of BAPS swamis and volunteers will witness the inauguration ceremony, further emphasizing the community’s dedication and anticipation. To mark the occasion, a special “Vishwa Samvadita Yagna” was held at the temple, featuring Vedic prayers for global harmony.
This Yagna served as the opening act for the “Festival of Harmony,” a celebration of cultural diversity and spiritual unity. Dignitaries, spiritual leaders, and community members came together to pray for peace, harmony, and the well-being of everyone in the UAE and the world.
“The Yagna, the first of its kind in the Middle East, brought together diverse members to pray for hope and coexistence,” said Swami Brahmaviharidas, the Mandir project head. “This aligns perfectly with His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj’s message of global unity, which the temple embodies.”
Despite the recent rainy weather in Abu Dhabi, thousands gathered at the temple complex for the Yagna, creating a mesmerizing scene amidst the unique backdrop. Their spirits remained high, undeterred by the wet conditions.
The inauguration of the BAPS Hindu Temple is not just a religious event but a powerful symbol of interfaith dialogue and understanding. It represents a significant step towards promoting peace and cultural exchange between India and the UAE, and serves as a beacon of hope for future generations.
