Kalaburgi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to hold a roadshow and address a public rally in Kalaburagi city, the stronghold of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.

Scheduled to arrive at 2:05 p.m., PM Modi will conduct a roadshow from D. R. Ground to N. V. College Ground, followed by an appearance at the BJP workers’ convention at N. V. College grounds at 2:15 p.m. Over two lakh attendees are expected.

Former Chief Ministers B. S. Yediyurappa and BJP candidate Basavaraj Bommai, along with Union Ministers Bhagwant Khuba, Shobha Karandlaje, and others will participate.

BJP aims to capitalize on the PM Modi wave, as seen in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, where they defeated Kharge in Kalaburagi. Umesh G Jadhav is BJP’s candidate. Kharge’s candidacy remains undecided, with Congress yet to announce their candidate. In 2019, PM Modi commenced Karnataka campaigning from Kalaburagi.
