In an election rally, Congress leader and former AICC President Rahul Gandhi referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “Panauti.” Without directly naming the PM, Gandhi expressed his sentiment, asserting that despite their commendable performance, he believes the Prime Minister acted as a harbinger of misfortune, leading to the team’s defeat in the final match of the World Cup.

The Congress party shared a snippet of Gandhi’s statement on social media, where he remarked, “Our boys were playing well, and victory was within reach, but the influence of ‘Panauti’ thwarted their success. Although this might not be highlighted on TV, the people know it,” he said.
