Over 55% Vote Cast in High-Stakes Election for Prestigious Anjuman-e-Islam in Hubballi
Hubballi, Karnataka – February 18, 2024: Over 55% of eligible voters cast their ballots in the ongoing election for Anjuman-e-Islam, a prominent Muslim representative body with a century-long legacy, by 4.30 pm today. Sources indicate results are expected late tonight.
Over 11,903 voters are electing 52 representatives for various positions, including president, secretary, and treasurer, from a pool of 211 candidates. Polling, which began today at Nehru College premises in Ghantikeri, will continue until evening, followed by vote counting.
