Ottawa Massacre: 19-Year-Old Sri Lankan Arrested for Six Murders

Ottawa, Canada: A 19-year-old Sri Lankan has been charged with committing the deadliest murder spree in Ottawa’s history, killing six people in an Ottawa suburb.

The victims include a 35-year-old mother and her four children, along with an acquaintance, while the father is in serious condition. The family, newcomers from Sri Lanka, was attacked with an edged weapon.

The suspect, a Sri Lankan national and Canadian student, faces six counts of first-degree murder and one of attempted murder. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau expressed shock at the unimaginable crime, urging community support for the grieving family. The motive behind the killings remains unknown.
