Hubballi, Karnataka: In a firm move to tackle criminal elements, authorities in Hubballi-Dharwad have externed a 25-year-old rowdy named Fazal Ahmed Punewale for a period of 6 months. The action, effective February 1st, 2024, aims to curb his illegal activities and ensure a safer environment for the community.

Ahmed, a resident of Millat Nagar, on Mantur Road, Hubballi, had a history of violent behavior, including assaulting vulnerable individuals like poor people, coolies, and small traders. He was also known for threatening witnesses, carrying illegal weapons, and attempting murder, creating a sense of fear and intimidation.

Despite facing multiple registered cases across Bendigeri, Vidyanagar, and Hubballi City Police Stations, and having a rowdy sheet opened against him, Ahmed continued his criminal activities, including attempted murder, robbery, and assault.

To address this persistent threat and promote a healthy environment, authorities issued a deportation order, restricting him to the limits of Bidar City Police Station in Bidar district for 6 months.
