NWKRTC to Operate 300 Special Buses for Diwali Rush Across Karnataka
Hubballi: To accommodate the increased travel demand during the 2024 Diwali festival, the North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) is set to operate around 300 additional special bus services from Hubballi, Dharwad, Gadag, Belagavi, Uttara Kannada, Haveri, Chikkodi, and Bagalkote divisions.
With Naraka Chaturdashi on Thursday, October 31, Kannada Rajyotsava on Friday, November 1, Bali Padyami on Saturday, November 2, and a weekend on Sunday, November 3, large numbers of passengers are expected to travel from Bengaluru and other major locations to their hometowns. Therefore, special bus services will run from Bengaluru and various other state and interstate locations from October 29 to November 1, 2024.
Following the festival, additional buses will be provided from major locations on November 3 and 4, and on subsequent days as needed to accommodate the anticipated passenger traffic.
