NWKRTC Chairman Raju Kage expressed his commitment to steering the North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation towards profitability by addressing existing shortcomings and challenges.

Speaking to reporters in Hubballi on Friday after assuming the chairman’s role, Kage outlined his strategy to leverage government grants and optimize resources to ensure the corporation operates without incurring losses.

Expressing satisfaction with his new position, Kage stated that he harbored no regrets. Acknowledging the aspirations of 135 legislators to become ministers, he emphasized the impracticality of fulfilling every ambition and urged understanding among his peers.

Kage stressed the greater responsibility of legislators to provide essential facilities to their constituents and welcomed the challenge of transforming the currently loss-making corporation into a profitable entity. He cautioned against a scenario where every senior legislator demands a profitable corporation, foreseeing potential chaos.

Kage further pledged to exert maximum efforts in securing grants for NWKRTC and striving for the welfare of both the corporation’s workers and the public.
