News Alert: Haryana CM ML Khattar Resigns

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar resigned from his post on Tuesday after cracks appeared in the ruling alliance between the BJP and the Jannayak Janata Party in the northern Indian state.

According to sources, CM ML Khattar has submitted his resignation along with his cabinet to Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya. The rift in the alliance emerged over seat-sharing disagreements between the BJP and Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala-led JJP for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In the previous election, the BJP had won all 10 Lok Sabha seats.

The BJP claims to have enough support from MLAs to form a new government.
