Shivamogga: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has announced that the murder case of Neha Hiremath will be transferred to the CID, with a special court established to expedite the trial within specified time limits.
Speaking to reporters in Shivamogga, the CM made this announcement following the BJP’s demand that the case be handed over to the CBI.
In response to the BJP’s claim that he did not visit the Hiremath residence in Hubballi, the CM clarified that several Congress leaders, including HK Patil and others, have already visited the family. He assured that he would personally meet Neha’s family during his visit to Hubballi.
Meanwhile, Siddaramaiah has urged Fakira Dingaleshwar Swamiji to withdraw his nomination. Swamiji, who filed his nomination as an independent candidate for the Dharwad Lok Sabha seat, is the pontiff of a math that promotes the unity of all religions and secularism.
