Neha Hiremath Murder Case: CID Takes Six Days Custody of Accused
Hubballi: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID), currently investigating the murder of college student Neha Hiremath, has been granted six days of custody by the court.
According to a message from Advocate Ashok Anvekar to Hubballi reporters, the first additional civil judge and JMFC have handed Neha’s case over to the CID. The advocate mentioned that further inquiries may be conducted by the sleuths in this matter.
Neha was tragically killed by her former classmate Fayaz Khondunaik within the premises of BVB College on the evening of April 18, sparking widespread outrage across the state. Two days prior, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah ordered a CID inquiry into the case and assured Neha’s parents that a special court would be established for the swift trial of the case.
