Redmond, USA: Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh recently met with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella at the company’s headquarters in Redmond, USA. During this significant meeting, Lokesh expressed his vision for transforming Andhra Pradesh into a technology leader through the establishment of new IT hubs and innovation parks across the state. He sought Microsoft’s collaboration to develop these hubs into world-class technology centers.

In his discussions, Lokesh highlighted, “With cloud infrastructure and data center development, Andhra Pradesh has the potential to become a regional hub for global companies. We have favorable policies for investments in this sector, and we can work together under Microsoft’s leadership in cloud services.” He also urged a focus on IT and engineering talent in the state, suggesting that integrating AI with agritech could bring revolutionary changes to agriculture.

Moreover, Lokesh explained the streamlined approvals, fast-tracked project implementation, and pro-business policies that contribute to a conducive ecosystem for businesses. He called for Microsoft’s support in implementing cloud-based platforms, utilizing AI for data analytics, enhancing cybersecurity, and developing smart city initiatives as part of Andhra Pradesh’s digital governance strategies.

“We are planning to establish an AI university in Amaravati to make it the AI capital, and we are seeking Microsoft’s collaboration in this endeavor,” Lokesh stated. Satya Nadella assured Lokesh of Microsoft’s commitment to assisting in the digital transformation and development of AI sectors in Andhra Pradesh.

In his social media post, Lokesh expressed enthusiasm about the meeting, stating, “Had an enlightening discussion with @satyanadella, CEO of @Microsoft, about leveraging technology for growth in Andhra Pradesh. Eager to work together on initiatives that can transform our digital landscape.”
