Modi Sounds Poll Bugle: BJP Needs 100-Day Push for Lok Sabha Victory
New Delhi, February 18: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today urged Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers to dedicate the next 100 days to reaching out to new voters and ensuring the party’s return to power in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing the concluding day of the BJP’s National Convention, Modi emphasized the crucial nature of the next three months, stating, “Each one of us has to go out and reach out to new voters, every beneficiary and every community. We have got to win everyone’s trust and support.”
Emphasizing the power of the newly eligible voters who turned 18 since the last election, he said, “The youth who have reached the milestone of 18 years in this period are going to elect the 18th Lok Sabha of the country.”
Denying personal ambitions, Modi declared his dedication to national progress, stating, “I am not seeking a third term to enjoy power, but to work for the nation.” He contrasted his commitment to “rashtraniti” (national policy) with “rajneeti” (politics), claiming that working for the benefit of the people drives his motivation.
Outlining the party’s vision for a “developed India,” Modi highlighted the importance of unity and inclusion, bringing together youth, women, farmers, and other segments of society. He added, “We asked those who were not acknowledged by anyone, and not just that, we have also worshipped them.”
