MLA Abbayya Visits KMC&RI, Assures Support for Ayyappa Devotees Injured in Blast
Hubballi (Hubli EXPRESS News): Hubballi-Dharwad (East) MLA Prasad Abbayya, assured that relief would be provided from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the nine Ayyappa Swami devotees who were injured in a LPG cylinder blast happened on Monday morning.
A cooking gas cylinder explosion occurred at the Eshwar Temple in Achchavvana Colony of Saai Nagar, Hubballi, leaving nine Ayyappa devotees seriously injured.
After visiting Karnataka Medical College and Research Institute (KMC&RI) to inquire about the health of the injured, he addressed the media. He stated, “I have gathered information about the health of the Ayyappa devotees from the KMC&RI officials. Necessary instructions have been given to ensure appropriate treatment. I will personally meet the Chief Minister to request relief for the injured from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.”
He further noted, “KMC&RI has five ambulances. It has come to my attention that no ambulances were provided to transport the seriously injured Ayyappa devotees to KMC&RI. Additionally, I have learned about inadequate treatment being provided to them. Strict action will be taken against the officials who failed to respond to the injured.”
Deputy Commissioner Divya Prabhu G.R., Police Commissioner N. Shashikumar, DCPs Mahaning Nandgavi and Ravish C.R., KMC&RI Director Dr. S.F. Kammar, and other officials were present on the occasion.
