Phillips, who initiated his campaign in October 2023, expressed that it is evident he is not the preferred alternative. Following ‘Super Tuesday,’ where Biden and former President Donald Trump secured victories, Phillips endorsed Biden, emphasizing the need to unite and support a leader of decency and integrity.

He extended an invitation to supporters of Nikki Haley, who exited the Republican race, advocating for collaboration rather than confrontation in achieving common goals.
