Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella stayed up all night to watch India vs New Zealand semi-final clash
Seattle (US) Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella joined millions of cricket enthusiasts on Wednesday, tuning in to witness India’s impressive 70-run triumph over New Zealand in the World Cup semi-final. Nadella, who had just delivered the keynote address at a Microsoft developer conference in Seattle, revealed he stayed up all night to watch the Rohit Sharma-led team vie for a spot in the final against the Kiwis.
Reflecting on the scheduling coincidence, Nadella remarked, “Little did we know when we scheduled Ignite (the name of the conference) that we would schedule it on the day when there is a World Cup semifinal going on. And I’ve been up all night, but it finished five minutes ago. I am glad it did. This is the short version of the game, by the way,” he added.
