Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal Hospitalized in Kochi
Veteran actor Mohanlal has been hospitalized in Kochi after experiencing symptoms such as high fever, breathing difficulties, and muscle pain. According to an official medical statement, doctors suspect that the 64-year-old actor is suffering from a viral respiratory infection.
Mohanlal has been advised to limit public interactions for the next five days and to follow a strict medication regimen. The hospital’s official statement regarding his condition was shared by industry insider Sreedhar Pillai.
The actor had just completed filming for L2: Empuraan and finished post-production work on his directorial debut, *arroz, before returning to Kochi from Gujarat, where his health took a turn for the worse. Fortunately, recent medical updates indicate that he is now on the road to recovery and remains under close observation.
Barroz, which marks Mohanlal’s first venture as a director, is set to be released on October 2, coinciding with the start of this year’s nine-day Navratri festival. Initially scheduled for release on March 28, 2024, the film’s debut was postponed due to delays in post-production.
