Legendary Actor Mike Nussbaum, America’s Oldest, Passes Away at 99

Mike Nussbaum, acclaimed as America’s oldest professional actor, passed away at 99 just days before his 100th birthday.

Known for roles in films like “Field of Dreams” and “Men in Black,” Nussbaum enjoyed a prolific stage career spanning over 50 years in Chicago. Acknowledged by the Actor’s Equity Association as the oldest professional actor, Nussbaum won a Drama Desk Award in 1984 for “Glengarry Glen Ross.”

His daughter, Karen Nussbaum, remembers him as a good man who instilled values of justice and respect. A private funeral is planned, with a public memorial service scheduled for next year.
