In a recent revelation, former Indian fast bowler Praveen Kumar shared insights into his IPL journey, disclosing that Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) was not his preferred choice in the inaugural Indian Premier League (IPL) season.

During an interview with Lallantop, Praveen recounted how he initially aimed to join Delhi Daredevils due to its proximity to his hometown, Meerut. However, he inadvertently signed a contract with RCB. When Praveen expressed his desire to play for Delhi, then IPL commissioner Lalit Modi allegedly threatened to jeopardize his cricket career.

Furthermore, Praveen Kumar commented on the historical practice of ball-tampering among players, noting that Pakistan bowlers were believed to engage in it more frequently to enhance reverse swing. In the interview, he acknowledged that while scratching the ball was a common practice, skill was crucial for effective use of reverse swing in bowling.
