Karnataka Weather Update: Multiple Districts Under Orange and Yellow Alerts

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for the coastal districts, warning of heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds. Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts are under a red alert, while Uttara Kannada, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, and Shivamogga face an orange alert. Kalaburagi, Belagavi, and Bidar districts have been placed under a yellow alert.

The weather department forecasts rainfall across several districts, including Dharwad, Bengaluru Rural, Tumakuru, Bengaluru Urban, Gadag, Haveri, Chamarajanagar, Davangere, Kolar, Chitradurga, Mandya, Mysuru, and Vijayanagara.

Reports of rainfall have already come in from numerous coastal and hill stations. Honnavar, Castle Rock, Panambur, Mani, Shirali, Gerusoppa, Puttur, Kundapur, Manki, Siddapur, Kottigehara, Bhagamandal, Kollur, Mangaluru, Kota, Sulya, Mulki, and Linganamakki have experienced showers. Additionally, Agumbe, Jayapura, Hunchadakatte, Harangi, Tarikere, Tiptur, Shravanabelagola, Balehonnur, Kammardi, Napoklu, Murnadu, Karwar, Yellapur, Kudalsangama, Mudigere, Anavatti, Kalasa, Sringeri, Koppa, Kumta, Sakleshpur, Banavasi, Gokarna, Londa, Thyagarthi, N.R. Pura, Hassan, and Kushalnagar have also reported rainfall.

Bengaluru is witnessing rainfall since Thursday. Temperature readings across the city show variations. HAL recorded a maximum of 26.8°C and a minimum of 20.3°C. The city center experienced a high of 26.5°C and a low of 21.2°C. At Kempegowda International Airport (KIAL), temperatures ranged from 27.5°C to 20.8°C, while GKVK saw a maximum of 28.6°C and a minimum of 20.2°C.
