Jio Down Today? Did You Experience Connectivity Issues?
Reports of widespread service disruptions affecting Reliance Jio customers across India emerged today, with users taking to platforms like Downdetector and X (formerly Twitter) to voice their concerns. The monitoring site Downdetector saw a spike in reports, with over 1,600 incidents logged, indicating significant issues with Jio’s services. The majority of the affected customers reported problems with network signals, followed by difficulties with mobile internet and JioFiber services.
The disruption seemed to impact users across various regions, including major cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Cuttack, Chennai,Patna, Guwahati, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Nashik, Surat, Indore, and several others. Despite the widespread nature of the issue, Reliance Jio has yet to release an official statement addressing the outage.
Data from Downdetector revealed that around 50% of the reported issues were related to ‘No Signal,’ with another 33% of users experiencing mobile internet problems. The remaining complaints were connected to Jio’s broadband and entertainment services. Users flooded X with complaints, sharing their frustration over the inability to make calls and access the internet.
As of 08:15 PM, the situation began to improve, with Downdetector’s outage graph showing a significant decline in reported issues. While many users noted a return to normalcy for mobile internet and signal problems, some continued to experience issues with JioFiber. Although the situation appears to be stabilizing, it’s clear that the outage caused considerable inconvenience to a large number of Jio subscribers.
