Rajkot, India – February 18, 2024: Lighthearted chaos unfolded on Day 4 of the third India-England Test in Rajkot as Indian captain Rohit Sharma had to hilariously usher back two batsmen who thought the innings was declared prematurely.

With India comfortably placed at 430/4 and looking towards declaration, the confusion ensued during the drinks break. The Indian dressing room reportedly started preparing for their bowling stint, leading young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and middle-order batsman Sarfaraz Khan to believe the innings was indeed declared.

The duo, both batting well with Jaiswal on 214 and Khan on 68, began walking back to the pavilion. However, they were met with amused confusion from the non-striking batsman and were quickly intercepted by their skipper, Rohit Sharma.

In a moment captured on camera, Sharma was seen gesturing and playfully shooing away the departing batsmen, reminding them that the declaration was far from announced.

This comical interlude provided a lighthearted break in the midst of a serious Test match and left the crowd and commentators chuckling.
