Tel Aviv: In response to Iran’s recent missile attacks, Israel has conducted targeted strikes on key military locations in Iran. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated that these attacks serve as a self-defense measure against what it called ongoing aggression from Iran, advising citizens to stay alert. U.S. officials were notified in advance, although no American personnel were involved.

Explosions were reported near Tehran and other locations, with Iranian state media attributing the blasts to activated air defenses countering “Zionist attacks.” Nearby areas, including Karaj, reported similar disturbances, but critical infrastructures such as Tehran’s major airports and an oil refinery were reported to be unaffected.

Israel has also increased military operations in Gaza and along its northern border with Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah and Hamas forces following the October 7 Hamas-led attack on southern Israel. The U.S. has supported Israel’s actions, emphasizing its right to self-defense while urging restraint to avoid regional destabilization. Israel’s defense minister recently warned that any harm directed at Israel would come with severe consequences.
