Heavy downpours triggered floods and landslides in Indonesia’s West Sumatra province, leaving three dead and 10 missing.

The disaster affected 10 regencies and towns, causing bridge collapses and house sweepings. Transportation was paralyzed as roads submerged, leading to tens of thousands of house evacuations.

One fatality and nine missing were reported in Pesisir Selatan regency, while two were killed and one missing in Pariaman regency. Emergency relief efforts, including aid distribution and health centers, are underway, with the waters receding after the floods began on Thursday.

Multiple government departments are collaborating to address the aftermath of this natural disaster.
