India’s Probable XI for First T20 Revealed: Young Stars Set for South Africa Challenge
Team India is preparing for the four-match T20 series against South Africa. Under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian T20 team has already arrived in South Africa for this series. The four-match T20 series will kick off with the first game on Friday at 8:30 PM in Durban.
Filled with young talent, Team India is ready for the challenge. This series has generated excitement as the two teams face each other again after the T20 World Cup 2024 final.
With Gautam Gambhir overseeing the senior squad’s preparations for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy tour in Asia, NCA director VVS Laxman has taken charge as the head coach of the young team for this series.
For the first T20, explosive opener Abhishek Sharma will open the innings alongside experienced wicketkeeper Sanju Samson, who showcased his skills as an opener by scoring a century in the recent home T20 series against Bangladesh, securing his place in the lineup.
If Suryakumar Yadav plays at number three, Tilak Varma is expected to bat at number four. However, if Ramanadeep Singh is chosen for his bowling skills, Tilak Varma may be benched. Rinku Singh is set to bat at five, and Hardik Pandya at six.
Axar Patel will play as the spin all-rounder, while Varun Chakravarthy will be the specialist spinner. Ravi Bishnoi is likely to remain on the bench. In South African conditions favoring pace, Team India might go with three pacers – Arshdeep Singh, Yash Dayal, and Avesh Khan. If an additional spinner is needed, Yash Dayal may be replaced by Ravi Bishnoi.
