“I Would Still Be Bindhya Ram”: Actress Reveals Career-Changing Moment Meeting After Jailed Darshan

Bengaluru: Sandalwood actress Rachita Ram, who recently visited actor Darshan Thoogudeepa at Parappana Agrahara prison, spoke emotionally about their relationship. Darshan is currently incarcerated in connection with the Renuka Swamy murder case. When asked about her emotional state during the visit, Rachita reflected on her early days in the film industry.

“How can I not be emotional?” she began. “Let me share something with you. I started my career under Darshan’s film banner. He was the one who introduced me to the industry. Whatever success and recognition I have today is because of Darshan. If he had said ‘no’ that day, I would have remained Bindya Ram instead of becoming Rachita Ram. Both I and my entire family are deeply indebted to him.”

Rachita continued, emphasizing Darshan’s supportive nature, “Even now, while he’s in jail, he’s been encouraging me. I sincerely hope we receive good news about his case as soon as possible.”
