Tumakuru: Former minister and BJP leader, JC Madhu Swamy, announced on Wednesday that he no longer harbors any desire to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha election. Speaking to reporters in Tumakuru, Swamy attributed his decision to not receiving a ticket to contest from the Tumakuru Lok Sabha seat to former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa.

Expressing his frustration, Swamy stated that he no longer wishes to pursue a ticket to contest the election, particularly if the circumstances suggest that he may not be granted one. “I have decided not to contest either from the BJP or the Congress. I will make a final decision within the next couple of days,” he remarked.

Swamy’s announcement comes amidst growing tension within the party, with the denial of a ticket serving as a catalyst for his decision to withdraw from electoral contention.
