Hubballi Vidyanagar Police Seize 460 Liters of Spirit
Hubballi: The Vidyanagar Police have confiscated 460 liters of spirit stored in 17 cans and a Ford Fiesta car used for smuggling the liquor on Monday.
The police have arrested four individuals, all residents of Hubballi. According to Vidyanagar Police Inspector Jayant Gouli, the accused sourced the spirit from Satara in Maharashtra and were planning to distribute it in Hubballi.
The arrests took place based on a tip-off near Timber Yard in Unkal. The seized spirit is valued at Rs. 68,000, and investigations are currently underway. Police Commissioner Renuka K Sukumar hailed the efforts of Inspector Jayant Gouli and his team for nabbing the accused.
