Hubballi: Two patients tested positive for COVID infection
Hubballi has reported two cases of COVID-19 in the current wave. An 85-year-old male, initially admitted to the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) with interstitial lung disease on Sunday, tested positive for COVID-19 in an RT-PCR test conducted on Tuesday. Sources indicate that the patient has severe comorbidities.
Additionally, another patient admitted to a private hospital has also tested positive. Deputy Commissioner Gurudatta Hegde confirmed about the cases to Hubli Express, but provided no further details on the patients. Assuring the public, Hegde stated that the district administration is well-prepared to combat the infection, urging people not to panic. He emphasized the importance of wearing masks for protection and assured that preparations have been made after discussions with hospitals and health department officials.
