Hubballi Traffic Constable Accused of Sexually Harassing Minor, Suspended

Hubballi: The traffic constable who was booked under the POCSO Act for allegedly harassing a minor was suspended from the service, said police sources.

The Keshwapur police booked a case against MA Khadirnavar, who works at South Traffic Police Station. Following the allegation of harassing a nine-year-old girl on November 3.

According to Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar, the incident happened on November 3 afternoon. The accused MA Khadirnavar lured a nine-year-old girl to his house and misbehaved with her. He sent the girl child immediately to her house when someone knocked on the door of his house, he said.

Later in the evening, the girl informed her parents about the misbehavior done by the police constable. Later, a few angry residents, including relatives of the girl, questioned the constable about his act. And they allegedly manhandled him, said the commissioner.
